NJ BOE announces STEM Month
March is STEM Month in New Jersey. The goal of is to celebrate and to further encourage student success in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The NJ Board of Education and the Research and Development Council of New Jersey, and the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (NJSPN) encourage school districts and other organizaitons in NJ to highlight effort to increase access to STEM and to highlight examples of collaboration and achievements in STEM throughout March. All organizations are encouraged to host or attend STEM events. Shool districts and organizations can post STEM events to the NJ STEM Month 2019 Calendar, by using the NJSPN Event Form, available on the web site.
In addition there will be a first annual NJ STEM Month Award ceremony. Awards are open to all stakeholders responsible for learning, achievement and innovation in NJ. These stakeholdersa can include school districts, postsecondary institutions, nonprofit organizations, businesses, philantrhopies, science centers, museums, zooms, aquariums and faith-based organizations.
