  • Attorneys William P. Askin, left, and Todd M. Hooker

— Attorneys William P. Askin and Todd M. Hooker, founding partners of Askin & Hooker, LLC., Attorneys at Law, have formally been selected as Lawyers of Distinction, an organization that recognizes only the top 10 percent of attorneys in the United States.

It takes significant professional dedication and achievement to earn this honor, and Lawyers of Distinction recognizes those who have achieved this status throughout the country. On being inducted, William P. Askin stated, “I’m honored to have been selected for inclusion with such a prestigious and select group of quality attorneys.”

Askin has been practicing law for over 25 years, and focuses on real estate law, elder law, wills, estates and trusts. He has built a reputation in the community for excellence in residential and commercial real estate matters, customized estate plans and estate litigation in New Jersey. Askin is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and he has served as both an officer of Chase Manhattan Bank’s Trust Department and legal counsel to a leading national real estate, mortgage and title insurance company.

Todd M. Hooker focuses on litigation, and represents businesses and individuals. Hooker’s vast experience includes representing clients in cases involving business torts, shareholder oppression and commercial transactions, and environmental litigation. Additionally, Hooker has served on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Commercial Litigation Committee, and as a lecturer at Rutgers University School of Law.

Hooker said, “It’s gratifying and humbling to be included in such a group of peers as Lawyers of Distinction.”
