SPARTA — On April 24, the staff at the Goddard School of Sparta walked to raise money for the March of Dimes. Between, the staff, students, and parents, the school raised $2000.
Owner Jim Freda said he loves to watch the kids in the school learn about caring and sharing, and they really enjoyed working with the March of Dimes. "We are looking forward to working with them again."
It's the mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. "This is a great way to help families of babies that need help. March of Dimes was a great organization to work with and I'm glad we were able to help", said Director of the school, Terri Shaw.
This is not the first year The Goddard School of Sparta walked for a cause. In previous years they have walked and sponsored Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, walked for the Red Cross, as well as working with local food banks and donating presents to the children at a Newark school during the holiday season.
