NJ Conservatory presents Mozart in May
Sparta — On Sunday, May 7, 2017, 4:00PM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd., Sparta. NJ Conservatory, Edwin Foster, conductor and associate director, Ford Foster, will present a spring concert which will include Mozart's 'Solemn Vesper' and 'Missa Brevis in C' sung by Symphonic Chorus, and 'Missa Brevis in F' sung by Chamber Choir. Both choruses will be accompanied by full orchestra, Karen Schaberg, concertmaster. Orchestra will offer two instrumental pieces: Manfredini's 'Concerto for Two Trumpets in D' and Biber's 'Battalia a 9'. Soloists are: Soprano: Cassandra Lindeblad and Christine Nevill, alto: Mary McGuire, tenor: John Lindeblad and Raymond VanSteyn, Bass: William LePore and Jared Jak. For more than 25 years NJ Conservatory has offered opportunities to 'make' music vocally and instrumentally throughout northern New Jersey. The Conservatory offers adult (Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Choir) and youth (2 choruses ages 3-5 and 6-11); a Preparatory Division offering lessons in voice, piano, organ, brass and wind instruments. For those who prefer listening to fine music, the Conservatory's adult and youth choruses present concerts, with orchestra, throughout the year in Morris and Sussex counties.
