SPARTA — An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was conducted on Sunday, April 6 at the Barn in Hillside Park in Andover.
The ceremony was a formal recognition of brothers Stephen Rozek, 13, and Christopher Rozek, 16, both of whom recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Both boys are members of Troop 150 of Sparta.
The ceremony was attended by many family, friends, scouts and community leaders. Special presentations were made by Sussex County Freeholder Dennis Mudrick, Sparta Mayor Molly Ann Whilesmith, Andover Mayor Phil Boyce, Order of the Arrow Lodge #43 Advisor Chris Sturm, Sparta VFW Representative Martin Schweighardt and Deb Reidmiller of the Lakeland Emergency Squad.
Through hard work and dedication, the brothers were able to achieve the honor within three days of eachother, making the celebration extra special. Stephen became an Eagle on Dec. 3, 2013 and led a project benefiting the Township of Sparta. Christopher became an Eagle on Dec. 6, 2013 and led a project benefiting the Township of Andover.
