— A concert performance of Les Miserables will be held on June 21st, at 8 p.m., in St. Kateri Church in Sparta, benefiting Honolulu Broadway Babies.

Honolulu Broadway Babies, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, focuses on raising awareness and building schools for education in the arts and music for adults who are developmentally challenged.

Sparta native and actor Marc G. Dalio is producing the event with the help of New Jersey City University's Department of Music, Dance and Theatre where he is the coordinator of Musical Theatre Studies.

The concert will feature more than 30 singers and instrumentalists from Sparta and beyond.

The cast for this concert includes Marcelo Leal as Jean Valjean, Keith Slusser as Javert, Marc G. Dalio as Marius, Audri T. Dalio as Fantine, Katherine Acosta as Eponine, Jenna Ravenda as Cosette, Steven Slatten as Thenardier and Melrose Johnson as Madamme Thenardier.

The ensemble includes locals Angela Iannacone, Emily Hand, Dillon Feldman and Elizabeth Buback.

The event will be conducted by Sariva Goetz, who spent 10 years with the original Broadway Company of Les Miserables as the Associate Musical Director.

The suggested donation for admission is $15, and more information can be found by contacting mdalio@njcu.edu.
