— Colleen M. Cunningham, Esq., of the Law Office of Colleen M. Cunningham, LLC, is moving to Sparta.

The previously Newton-based attorney hopes to welcome new and old clients alike.

The move comes at a great time, as Cunningham has recently been appointed as an adjunct professor in the Justice Studies Department of Montclair State University.

Cunningham said she is excited to welcome clients into her new office, as well as to announce her adjunct position. She is dedicated to higher education, and teaches courses at both Sussex County Community College and Montclair State University. She has also been an instructor for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Morris County Police and Fire Academy.

In addition to teaching the next generation of legal students, Cunningham is an active member of her community.

Last Spring, she was appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Sussex County 200 Club, a position she is very pleased with. The 200 Club provides the families of Sussex County police officers, firefighters, and emergency workers with financial assistance.

Cunningham speaks at many local and state association meetings, sharing her wealth of knowledge with others and benefitting the legal field. She is a member of the Sussex County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the District XA Ethics Committee.

Cunningham specializes in criminal law, juvenile matters, municipal court and traffic matters, DYFS/DCPP matters, domestic violence, estate planning, and administration matters.

Prior to beginning her private practice, Cunningham served as Assistant Prosecutor in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Lorraine C. Parker, Judge-Appellate Division.

She has served as the Municipal Public Defender for the Town of Newton and is currently a certified civil arbitrator for the Superior Court.

She can be contacted at her office located at 6 Apple Tree Lane, Suite 2A, Sparta, New Jersey 07871, by fax or telephone at 973-579-1020, or online at www.cunninghamlawoffice.com.
