Boating safety class on April 16

LAKE HOPATCONG — Be ready early for the 2016 boating season and take a course on April 16 to obtain the New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate (NJ BSC), required to operate a power boat or jet ski (PWC) legally on New Jersey inland waterways.

Boating Safety First is conducting this course, sponsored by the Lake Forest Yacht Club.

LFYC members' student fee is $65. Non-members' student fee is $75.

This course is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau.

Students are eligible to receive the NJ BSC after the completion of the one-day course and passing the exam.
