HAMBURG — Sussex County Technical School (Sparta) defeated Wallkill Valley Regional High School (Hamburg) in girls varsity basketball on Friday, January 20. The final score was 55-39. The game took place at Wallkill Valley Regional High School.

Sussex Tech outscored Wallkill Valley 18-6 in the second quarter to extend a 13-7 lead.

Kenna Squier scored a game high 22 points for Sussex Tech. Karleigh Noll contributed 20 points for Sussex Tech.

Jamie Struble was Wallkill Valley's leading scorer contributing 12 points.

Team records: Sussex Tech Mustangs 6-6. Wallkill Valley Rangers 2-11.
