— Brookdale Community College (Lincroft) defeated Sussex County Community College in men's basketball on Saturday, February 4. The final score was 78-46. The game took place at Sussex County Community College in Newton, New Jersey.

The Brookdale men's basketball team coasted against the Skylanders of SCCC, 78-46. Sophomore forward Sky Harris topped the Blues offense with 16 points.

The team jumped out to a 43-14 lead at the half and didn't let down the remaining minutes. Freshman forward Matthew Ringel recorded nine points, five rebounds and five steals while sophomore center Jordan Little tallied eight points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Dante Whipple added eight points.

The Sussex County Community College men's basketball team continues to struggle. They have not won a game since December 13, 2016 when they bested Luzerne County Community College 76-70.

Team records: Brookdale Jersey Blues 16-8. Sussex Skylanders 1-23.
