— Brookdale Community College defeated Sussex County Community College in women's basketball on Saturday, February 4. The final score was 70-63. The game took place at Sussex County Community College in Newton.

Freshman point guard Che'Kasha Andrews scored a game-high 32 points for Brookdale. She also grabbed eight rebounds. Sophomore forward Colleen Branagan contributed 18 points and grabbed four rebounds for Brookdale.

Keeley McGregor scored a team-high 20 points and grabbed 2 rebounds for Sussex County. Brielle Hilbert scored 19 points and grabbed 3 rebounds for Sussex County. Stephanie Ahmad scored 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for Sussex County.

Despite struggling this season the Sussex Skylanders came on strong in this contest. Several times the score was tied and only a handful of points separated the two teams for most of the game.

Team records: Brookdale Jersey Blues 16-6. Sussex Skylanders 7-13.
