NEWTON — The Sussex Stags defeated the Trenton Capitals on Saturday, July 15, 2017. The final score was 27-6. The semipro football game took place at Newton High School in Sussex County, New Jersey.

The Stags are hot, accomplishing back to back wins. On July 8 in the preseason game, the Stags defeated the Jersey Shore Hurricanes (Monmouth County), 38-13.
