STANHOPE — The Outcrops kick off a weekend of holiday music at the Stanhope House, which also features a fundraiser event to benefit veterans and Project Help.
The Outcrops, led by front woman Cassidy Rain, headline Friday night's show that also features AJ Croix, Uncle Einer and Justin Mannock.
The historic Stanhope House is located at 45 Main Street, Stanhope.
The Outcrops continue to make waves with their mix of blues and rock, covers with their own unique twist, and originals.
On Saturday, an all-day show presented by Jar Jams Entertainment begins with doors opening at 12 noon with a host of acts throughout the day and into the evening. Proceeds from this show benefit Project Help. Among the band participating are Fall to Rise, Black Light Circle, Crash NY, Thunder Beaver, Mike Daly & The Planets, The Crowning, Kevin D, Devil's Bubblegum and The Bathwater.
Project Help notes: "Thousands of veterans and their families suffer and many die every year because they don’t have the most basic necessities available to them. We have a simple mission:which is to provide supportive services to veterans and their families during difficult times. Many of the veterans we work with are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other disabilities that limits them in many ways. Many vets are homeless or on the verge of homelessness. Project Help and our partners provide many no cost services that help our heroes over the hurdles of life."
Project Help currently offers alternative therapies for healing vets.
The weekend of music concludes on Sunday with a western contingent of bands led by Upon A Burning Body. Also on tap are Volumes, The White Noise, Convictions, One Day Waiting, and Across the White Water Tower.
