NEWTON — Registration for the fall semester at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is in full swing. New and transfer students can register for classes and begin their semester early September. Prospective students can apply online and view course offerings online at my.sussex.edu.

SCCC offers many opportunities to fit college into a busy lifestyle. Don’t let work or a busy schedule get in the way of getting an education. Aside from the regular College course schedule, SCCC offers Early Finish, Late Start, and Delayed Start sessions.

In addition to the many degree and certificate programs, SCCC offers Career and Technical Education programs to help students earn a degree and enter the workforce. Programs such as Automotive, Building Construction, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Fire Science, Graphic Design, Electronic Music & Recording, Machine Tool Technology, and much more.

Students can also benefit from the many partnerships the College has built with 4-year colleges and universities known as Transfer Agreements. These agreements, along with the New Jersey Transfer Agreement, give students the security of a seamless transfer to these colleges and those in the State of New Jersey.

Advisors are available to guide new students in their academic path and give them a clear picture of career planning. The Advising and Counseling Center is open Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The College will be closed on Fridays from June 1 to July 6.

Students not currently enrolled at SCCC must fill out an application which is available online at sussex.edu/admissions and provide SAT scores or take the Placement Test offered at SCCC. The fall schedule is posted online at sussex.edu/fall. Registration for the fall semesters continues until the start of classes but students are encouraged to register early as many courses fill fast.

For more information contact the SCCC Admissions Office at admissions@sussex.edu">admissions@sussex.edu or call 973.300.2223.
