— Train and play the "Champions Way" at North Jersey's newest sports training facility, Champions Way Sports Academy. Opening its doors to the public on Saturday, August 25, aspiring athletes of all ages are invited to come out to the grand opening celebration taking place from 12:30-4:00pm. Boasting a stacked lineup of games, contests and activities for prizes including vouchers for lessons and more, everyone in attendance will be in store for a day of fun and baseball.

Leading off the day, the first 100 kids in attendance will receive a free Champion’s Way t-shirt. The Academy's training staff -- including Sussex County Miners manager Bobby Jones, bench coach Vladimir Fontalvo, Jr. and pitcher Kevin Grendell -- will put on a free mini clinic followed by a meet and greet session. Step onto the facility's indoor turf field for a Wiffle ball game. Test your arm in the fastest pitch competition. Show off your power in the exit velocity competition. If you prefer to take a break, enjoy delicious hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks (separate charge). And while you're at Skylands Sports Complex, take advantage of buying discounted tickets at $8 (save $4) for the Miners game which includes the biggest fireworks show in Sussex County.

Champions Way Sports Academy provides a 17,000-square foot climate-controlled training facility as well as natural and synthetic fields for year-round use. The facility offers brand-new batting cages and a turf playing field for multiple sports-- all in one convenient location. Whether you're looking for a place for training performance, fitness, learning or fun, the "champions way" is for athletes and fun-seekers of all ages.
