— The Sussex Stags defeated the Garden State Gladiators (Burlington County, N.J.) on Saturday August 18, 2018. The final score of the semi-pro football game was 29-0. The game took place at Newton High School in Newton.

The Stags have accomplished an 8-1 record so far this season. Thus far the Brooklyn Seminoles (New York City) are the only team to defeat the Sussex Stags, doing so 40-0 earlier this month.

The Harlem Gators (New York City) will be the next team to take on the Stags. The Stags will host the Gators on their home turf at (Newton High School) on Saturday August 25 at 7:00 pm. The school's address is 44 Ryerson Ave. Newton, New Jersey.
