So when a local resident noticed a Facebook post about Planet Networks as an alternative service, and then received a lighting-speed response to his inquiry about it, he switched providers and has been happy ever since. Mixed-use development at North Village underway, 2,750 views
In July we did a story on the ambitious mixed-use development is under way for the North Village on Route 15 in Sparta. The foundation was poured for the new 80,000 square foot ShopRite and ShopRite Liquors on Rt. 15 North. The area's 8th RoNetco, Inc. supermarket will be the anchor for this development. The project is slated for completion in 2021, and will consist of a retail plaza, a 70-bed assisted living facility, 92 single-family homes, and townhomes and duplexes which will number over 100 units. Open green spaces and park facilities are also part of the plan for the 90-acre site, approximately 65 acres of which are being developed.

Lake Mohawk Country Club moves to buy Lake Mohawk Pool, 1,048 views
In August, 2018, a private pool club without residency requirements, was about to do a 180. The Lake Mohawk Poll went under contract to be sold to the Lake Mohawk Country Club. On the East Shore Trail in the Byram section of the lake, the pool is great for swimming or enjoying the day.

Radio shows put Sparta couple in media spotlight, 893 views
Retired Sparta Police Lt. JP Beebe and his wife Erika Lupo-Beebe, who is the owner and CEO of Acting A-Part Theater Company, are the newest voices on AM970 The Answer, and they couldn't be more excited about the venture. The couple hosts “All That is Blue” and “Women in the Loop”, which air back-to-back on Saturday mornings and which are available nationwide as podcasts. The two met when she turned to the Sparta Police Lieutenant as her “go-to” guy when needing to film crime re-enactments.
