Sparta - A West Mountain Road residence was burglarized around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. Now police are asking the public to help identify the man who appeared on the resident's surveillance camera. Police say that he was wearing jeans, and a knit cap, in surveillance images that caught him on the front porch and then inside the house. Police also say it seems the burglar may have left in a black SUV.

Sparta detectives ask anyone who may have information about the crime, or who may recognize the man in the surveillance images, to call the detectives who are working on the case: Detective Sgt. Jeffrey McCarrick, 973-726-4072, and Detective Brian Hassloch, 973-726-4067.
