The New Jersey Conservatory presents Handel's 'Messiah'

    SPARTA‑The New Jersey Conservatory will presents its 26th annual performance of Handel's "Messiah " on Dec. 14 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sparta.

    "Messiah" is one of Handel's most well known composition's dedicated to the holiday season that will set the mood for a happy, hopeful season and new year.

    Edwin Foster will conduct the Conservatory's 80 voice symphonic chorus accompanied by its full Baroque orchestra.

    This is the only performance with a full orchestra in Sussex and Warren counties and one of the few in northern New Jersey.

    Prior to "Messiah," the Conservatory's Advanced Youth Chorus and adult Chamber Choir will sing seasonal treasures.

    Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is located at 246 Woodport Rd. in Sparta.

    The performacnce is at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.

    Tickets are: $25, $30, $45 and reserved seating is avaialble with a 30% student discount.
