Spring clean up information
With the nice weather upon us, it’s time to start thinking about Spring clean up. Sparta Township has begun just that within our community, and are asking for the public's support.

Road Sweeping
You may rake grit from your lawn into the road curb area prior to your road being swept. We will begin sweeping winter grit from all township roads shortly. Please keep roadways clear by not placing garbage cans or recycling containers in the road.

Township Lawn repairs
We will begin repairing damages resulting from snow plowing operations over the next few weeks.

Report potholes or broken asphalt curbing or belgium block to the office at 973-729-6178 or sparta.dpw@spartanj.org.

Keep drainage systems clear. Please do not rake yard debris into the road.

Leaf bage are available at the Sparta Public Library as well as the Department of Public Works. Leaf bags can be disposed of at SCUMA located on Rt. 94 in Lafayette. Leaf bags will not be picked up by the DPW in the spring.

The Sparta Township Water Utility fire hydrant flushing program is underway. Contact the Sparta Township Water Utility at 973-729-7133 with questions or concerns.
