Residents had fun at Sparta Day on Saturday, June 1. The tradition of Sparta Day began in 1975 and this year's event was filled with vendors, live entertainment, information tables with local resources, public safety demonstrations, children's activities, and much more. The event is free, thanks to the Sparta Parks and Recreation Department, with the support of local civics groups including the Junior Woman's Club of Sparta, and thanks to sponsors including Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, and Eastern Propane.
