The Sparta Avenue Stage welcomes Lindsey Noel and Francis Menotti, an eclectic couple of entertainers, to the Sparta stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 6 as part of their 24 Karat Magic series. Francis Menotti has been described as “an Absurdist Magician.” Francis views “magic as a way of exploring the uncertainties of life, using illusions as metaphors to inspire others to overcome the seemingly impossible.” He has done the nearly impossible by becoming one of the first magicians to fool Penn and Teller on their hit television show “Fool US” with his original magic using the game of Scrabble.
His partner, Lindsey Noel is a creative and edgy stylist and costume designer, and a magical mentalist. She and Francis have partnered to form Adventures Inc., a company specializing in immersive experiences for social and corporate events including mentalism and magic performances, and customized themed shows. They travel the world entertaining audiences with their fast and funny mentalism and theatrical magic which Lindsey likes to say “defies genre." They have performed at New York’s longest running magic show “Monday Night Magic,” the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, and have recently returned from their performing adventures in Australia. Together they use their theatrical and performing experiences to present an unconventional show of interactive amazement.
Francis is also a script writer, and the creator of original magic effects which are commercially available to magicians around the world. Some of these routines include “Treachery of Tricks,” and ”Prison”. General Admission tickets for Saturday night’s show are $20 and are available online at spartastage.com. Seating is limited.
