Jesse Dayton at Stanhope House

| 30 Aug 2019 | 01:58

Jesse Dayton will perform at the Stanhope House. He is a true renaissance man (singer, songwriter, guitarist, filmmaker, producer and soon-to-be author) who hasworked with a who’s who of country and punk legends and developed a cult following across music and film. He was recruited at a young age to play on some of the final recordings by Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Ray Price and Glen Campbell. He also performed with Willie Nelson and Johnny Bush, filled in for Billy Zoom in the seminal LA punk band, X, created soundtracks for Rob Zombie movies, wrote/directed his own horror film, and recently signed a publishing deal to write a memoir.

Jesse’s solo career is defined by a distinct brand of outlaw country that incorporates elements of punk, blues and cajun influences stemming from his roots in Gulf Coast Texas. He is touring in support of Mixtape Volume 1 (August 9, Blue Élan Records). The album revisits 10 deep cuts from iconic artists that have shaped and influenced his diverse career, as Jesse reinterprets each track with unique arrangements that showcase his Texas-Louisiana style. Live in concert, Jesse's performances are punctuated by his burly Southern vocal and exceptional guitar work, as he engages with the audience telling jokes and a few anecdotes from his incredible backstory.
