Artists to 'Rock the Yacht'

Morristown. Mayo Performing Arts Center will host night of classic smooth rock hits on Aug. 20.

Set sail for a night of classic smooth rock hits from the 70s by the original artists as Rock the Yacht docks in Morristown, Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The lineup includes: Ambrosia had five Top 40 hit singles released between 1975 and 1980, including the Top 5 hits "How Much I Feel" and "Biggest Part of Me."

John Ford Coley is most known for his partnership in the musical duo England Dan & John Ford Coley. Hits include " I'd Really Love to See You Tonight," "Nights Are Forever Without You," "We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again" and "Love is the Answer."

Looking Glass, founded by Elliot Lurie, scored the number one hit "Brandy," that has been a staple of '70s nostalgia boom over the decades since.

Peter Becker of Player: In the late 1970s, Player scored several hits, including the No. 1 hit "Baby Come Back."

Walter Egan is best known for his 1978 gold status hit single "Magnet and Steel", which reached the Top 10 on the U.S. charts.

Denny Laine is known as a founding member of two major British rock bands The Moody Blues, with whom he played from 1964 to 1966, and Paul McCartney and Wings, with whom he played from 1971 to 1981. In 2018, Laine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Moody Blues.
