Henry Joseph Zarzycki, 69, of Hardyston, New Jersey passed away on Nov. 1, 2019 at Hackensack Medical Center. Henry was born in Newark, NJ, graduated from Seton Hall Prep, and received his BS and Masters in Industrial Engineering at Newark College of Engineering. He worked at Fort Monmouth before working at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton for many years before retirement. Henry was a member of the Marquette Council, #588 in Sparta, NJ where he was a Chancellor, Deputy Grand Knight and Grand Knight. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Franklin where he was a former Trustee, and a member of the Finance Committee. At the church, Henry trained altar servers and received the Vivere Christus Award. Henry was the President of the condo association at the Astronaut Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and a longtime basketball referee in Sussex County.

He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara (nee Buffa) Zarzycki; devoted father of Kristin Pelletier and her husband Christopher, and Caroline Schaal and her husband Scott; loving grandfather of Thomas and Alexandra. Henry is the brother of Jim Zarzycki, Mary Jane Kovry, Paul Zarzycki and the late Eugene Zarzycki. Friends called on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave, Sparta. Entombment followed at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 75 Church St, Franklin, NJ 07416.
