Downloading free digital content from the Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is now easier than ever with the updated cloudLibrary™ app.

The SCLS catalog hosts thousands of free eBooks and downloadable audio titles that can be accessed by SCLS cardholders anytime, anywhere. From the latest bestsellers to classic children’s picture books, literary entertainment is never more than a click or tap away.

Go to sussexcountylibrary.org/ebooks-and-eaudiobooks/ to browse the library’s collection and download the free cloudLibrary app.

Browsing the content has never been simpler. Digital bookshelves are arranged by genre. Filters allow you to browse by format, and ignore any titles not immediately available for download. Click on Borrow, then Read or Listen, and content immediately begins to download to your smartphone or other device. Load the cloudLibrary app to multiple devices and your titles automatically sync for seamless access wherever you are.

“This service just gets better and better” Library Director Will Porter said. “There is nothing like a good audiobook to make a long drive go faster. Jim Dale’s narration of the Harry Potter series could take you all the way to California and you’d still three volumes left for the trip home. Better yet, if you run out of listening while you’re in California you can download more. You don’t have to be in the library to access the content.”

The cloudLibrary app works on Apple, Android and Windows systems, Amazon Fire Tablets, and Barns & Noble Nooks among others. You can link to it through the SCLS website or directly at your favorite App store.

Just choose Sussex County Library and enter your card number to get started.
