DiStefano named treasurer of sail and power squadron

OAK RIDGE — Lt. Commander Michael J. DiStefano of Oak Ridge, an advanced pilot with the Lackawanna Sail and Power Squadron, has been elected treasurer of the 2011-2012 squadron bridge. The squadron is a northern New Jersey-based unit of the United States Power Squadrons -- a nationwide, non-profit organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects.
