Hopatcong resident is college commencement speaker

Hopatcong — Caitlyn Brunner of Hopatcong graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture at Columbia College Chicago’s 128th commencement ceremony, held on May 13, 2018. Brunner had the honor to serve as the student commencement speaker, representing the 2,000 undergraduate and graduate degree recipients. This selection was coordinated by the Office of Student Affairs and further support by the Institutional Leadership.
While at Columbia College Chicago, Brunner education was partnered with a range of internship experience including time in Chicago at Knoll Textiles and Antunovich Associates as well as in Los Angeles with The Walt Disney Company. In addition, Brunner completed many civically engaged coursework projects including redevelopment proposals for The Chicago Park District's Armory in the 48th Ward.
Brunner plans to continue her studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor after graduation where she will be earning a Masters of Architecture.
A 2014 graduate of Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, New Jersey, Brunner is the daughter of William and Nancy Brunner of Hopatcong, New Jersey.
