Dominick Cagno of Sparta, N.J., passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, with his family by his side. He was 81.

He was born on May 10, 1939, to the late Anthony and Jenny Cagno and was the widower of Isabelle “Terry” Cagno. Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dominick moved to Sparta 59 years ago.

He worked as a real estate broker before his retirement. Dominick had a deep love for fishing and spent many summers in Montauk, N.Y., where he fished with his friends and family. One of his greatest joys was taking his grandchildren on his boat, the Subdivider, and teaching them the joys of fishing.

Dominick is survived by his brother, Leonard Cagno and wife, Annette, of Wantage, N.J.; sisters, Valerie and husband, Melvin Lester, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Virginia Cagno and Louis Salvatore of Fort Myers; son, Michael Cagno and wife, Danielle, of Sparta; daughters, Theresa and husband, David Dulko, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Ginny and husband, David Nemeth, of Carlisle, Pa.; loving grandchildren, Dominique and Max Cagno, Matthew and Jonathan Dulko and Michael Nemeth and wife, Emma, Krista and husband, Mickey Gigliotti, Carly and husband, Tom Swope; and great-grandchildren, Ella and Riley Gigliotti and Olivia Nemeth.

According to Dominick’s wishes, there will not be a formal service. Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements were made by Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home.com.
