Jack T. Hoffmann

Jack T. Hoffmann of Mill Rift, Pa., and formerly from Stockholm, N.J., and Venice, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Kaplan Hospice House, Newburgh, N.Y. He was 93.

Son of the late Herman (Hoy) and Mary (Tobin) Hoffmann, he was born May 6, 1927, in Hackensack, N.J.

He was a retired meat manager for A&P, Sussex County, N.J. Jack was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, serving with the Seabees. Jack was a Stockholm volunteer firefighter, a commander in the American Legion, and a volunteer for the Venice Hospital and Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, the late Kathleen (Clark) Hoffmann. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Hoffmann.

Jack leaves behind his children, Linda Young (Ron), Helen Hoffmann, Barbara Hoffmann, and Jack Hoffmann (Linda); grandchildren, Colleen Avis, Daniel Fenescey, Lauren Romano, Meredith Hettler, Kimberly Hoffmann, and Jack Hoffmann; and great-grandchildren, Finnley Avis, Farah, Phoebe and Stella Fenescey, Lennie and Esme Sherman, and Luca and Dominic Romano. Burial for the immediate family will take place in Mill Rift Cemetery, Mill Rift, Pa., with military honors on Aug. 1.
