Jonathan F. Volpe of Wayne Township, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday Aug. 26, 2020, following a long illness, surrounded by his family members. He was 32.

Born in Newton, N.J., Jonathan spent most of his life in the Branchville / Frankford area of New Jersey.

Jonathan attended Sussex County Community College and was a 2007 graduate of High Point Regional High School, attended Frankford Township Elementary School. Jonathan will be remembered for his love of basketball and playing football during his school years. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Jonathan was a devout Catholic and member of the Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his father Joseph A. Volpe of West Orange, N.J., mother Lisa R. Fried and husband Tracy of Newton, N.J. Jonathan is also survived by brother Joseph S. Volpe and his fiancé Shari Boyle of West Orange, N.J. Niece and nephew Gia Volpe and Skylar Boyle also of West Orange, N.J.

Arrangements are being handled by the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, N.J.. A memorial service was held Sept. 5 at the funeral home with the Rev.
