Kristen Kathleen Bunel of Vernon Township, N.J., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, N.J., after a short illness. She was 50.
Born in Brunswick, Maine, she had lived in Dumont, N.J., and Port Orange, Fla., before moving to Vernon 13 years ago.
Kristen had worked as an office manager for Frank Glasurdo Architects in Budd Lake, N.J. She enjoyed rock concerts, New York Giants football, and most of all doting on her son, Brandon.
Kristen is predeceased by her grandparents, Donald and Adair Drexler; and an uncle, Archie Drexler.
She is the beloved mother of Brandon Lockhart and his girlfriend, Nicole Szeredy of Vernon Township; loving daughter of Robyn Adair of Port Orange, Fla.; cherished niece of Donair Karkkainen and her husband, Seppo, of Bergenfield, N.J., and Beverly Drexler of Port Orange, Fla.; dear cousin of Keith Drexler of Tampa, Fla., Todd Drexler of San Antonio, Texas, Brent Drexler of Port Orange, Fla., and Amy Karkkainen of Edgewater, N.J.; and many close friends.
Private cremation services under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, Vernon. A Celebration of Kristen’s Life will be scheduled for a later date.
