Mary K. Dillard of Green Township, N.J., passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She was 60.
Daughter of the late James and Esther (nee Podd) Pauers, she was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and raised in West Allis, Wis. Mary had also lived in Randolph, N.J., before moving to Green Township. Mary had a way with animals, which led her to becoming a skilled dog trainer operating in the Green Township area. She was active in charitable works through the American Legion Post 86. Mary enjoyed socializing over good meals with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Pauers. She is survived by her beloved husband whom she met in college and married in 1986, Chuck Dillard; her daughter, Casey Dillard; her son, Eric Dillard; as well as her brothers Dr. Randy Pauers and William Pauers; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 20,from 2-4 p.m. with memorial services beginning at 4 p.m. in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, #156 Main St. (Route 206), Newton, N.J., followed by a repast at the American Legion, Post 86, at 5 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Cold Nose Warm Heart Dog Rescue to honor her love of animals.
