Michael John Duckworth of Lake Gerard, Stockholm, N.J., passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021. He was 68.
Born to Warren G. and M. Gloria Duckworth in Akron, Ohio, he was raised and attended grade school, high school and the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, before moving to New Jersey and living in several towns, including Randolph, Morris Plains, and Kinnelon, before settling in the Lake Gerard section of Hardyston Township, N.J., 33 years ago.
Michael earch his BA in business at the University of Toledo then worked for Ricoh Corp. in Fairfield, N.J., as a technology training specialist for the last 43 years. Michael was an avid reader and enjoyed outdoor watersports like kayaking, canoeing, boating, and fishing, and also enjoyed playing golf.
Michael is the dear brother of Mary Gloria “Daisy” Davis and her husband, Carl of Palm City, Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Stockholm. Cremation services under the direction of F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin, N.J. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to a favorite charity would be greatly appreciated.
