Vera Cafiero of Lafayette, N.J., passed away on Sunday Sept. 27, 2020. She was 85.
Vera was born on May 17, 1935, to Andrew and Mary (Patrick) Chowansky. She was born Frackville, Pa., and was a resident in Jersey City, N.J., Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., Bloomfield, N.J., Cedar Grove, N.J., and Long Beach Island, N.Y., before settling in Lafayette.
Vera was predeceased by her husband, John, and her sister- and brother-in-law, Anna and Alex Kunigonis.
Vera is survived by her children, Stephen Cafiero and his wife Anne, Stephanie Pizzulo and her husband Robert, Dianne Scioscia, John Cafiero and his wife Glady, and Joseph Cafiero and his wife Catherine, and her 13 cherished grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklinm N.J. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Franklin, with the Rev. Msgr. James O’Rorke officiating. Internment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, N.J.
