Wayne Thomas Flood of Ogdensburg, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at McLeod Hospital in Loris, S.C., after a short illness. He was 67.

Born to Allen and Edna Struble Flood in Middletown, N.Y., he was a longtime resident of Ogdensburg and Wantage, N.J.

Wayne worked as a truck driver where he delivered oil to his customers in Sparta, N.J., before becoming the Operations Manager for Atlantis Energy in Rockaway, N.J. for many years before retiring. Wayne loved to ride his motorcycle, bowling, and attending dirt track races. He also had a great love for his dog Beauregard. He was always there to lend a helping hand and most of all, he loved his family. The family requests that everyone be careful, wear your mask and sanitize your hands as this virus is deadly.

Wayne was the beloved husband for 33 years, being together for 41 years, of Susan J. Flood; devoted father of Dustin T. Flood and his wife, Denise, of Vernon, N.J., Traci L. Adams and her fiancé, Dave Hansell, of Berlin, N.J., Robert J. Faasse Jr. of Vernon, N.J. and Daniel J. Faasse of Tigard, Oregon; loving grandfather (Grumpy/Pop Pop) of Samantha L. Adams, Hope A. Adams, Emily R. Adams, Brayden T. Flood and Isabelle R. Flood; dear brother of Steven Flood (Margo Ramsey) of Conway, S.C., Ralph Flood and his wife, Constance, of The Villages, Fla., and Merri Lou Loving of Houston, Texas; and is predeceased by his brother, Barry Flood. He was cherished by many cousins and uncle to many.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J. on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 2-5:30 p.m. Memorial service to follow at 5:30 p.m. Cremation was private.

Memorial gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
