Lennox is proud of its community program, Feel The Love, an initiative that allows Lennox partners to support local communities by providing neighbors-in-need with a new furnace, just in time for cold weather season. R. Poust Inc., of Sparta, which specializes in heating, cooling, plumbing, water, well and pump services is proud to be a participant.

“This is the first year we are participating in the Lennox Feel The Love Program," said Deborah Poust Johnson, co-owner at R. Poust Inc. “The program was previously called Lennox’s 'Heat It Up,' and was only available in certain parts of the U.S. prior years. We never had the opportunity to participate, so we are thrilled that we can be a part of it this year.”

Feel The Love aims to support deserving, local families or individuals who would benefit from a new heating equipment installed prior to the winter weather season. The program relies on nominations from the community to determine each year’s recipients.

The idea originated with Lennox Industries, which changed the programs name to "Feel The Love" and expanded the products for those in need to include central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and furnaces and boilers. Lennox also expanded the program to be nationwide.

"Lennox donates the key equipment, we as the dealer donate our labor and other necessary installation materials," Poust Johnson said. "It gives us, as a dealer, an opportunity to come together as a team, employees volunteering their time, basically about giving back to the community and helping those who simply need help. Or maybe they are individuals that put others before themselves, volunteers, teachers, fire fighters, veterans, senior citizens that are living in older homes, families dealer with major medical issues, families facing hard times – really anyone who serves others is a good candidate. It’s a good feeling to help and give back to the community. “

In 2018, Lennox received more than 2,900 nominations from 24 states. Dealers in those states completed more than 165 installations through this program last year.

“Some of last year’s recipients of this program where Jackie and Ted,” Johnson said. “Ted is a quadriplegic. Their furnace was old and had water damage to it and they were in tears that they were chosen. Karla and her husband were a couple who were out of work and desperately needed a new system. Mike was a father and husband who was out of work due to kidney cancer who was thankful for the much needed help. Ida was laid off, her husband passed away and a few years later she was diagnosed with brain cancer: she was feeling the love.”

R. Poust is extremely community minded and tries to be as involved in community as possible.

Nominations have been already made at FeelTheLove.com for this year, and those who nominated someone are now crossing their fingers in hopes that their nominees will win.
