Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Foundation in Sussex County will receive $2.3 million through the USDA Rural Development's Community Facilities program to construct a 10 bed hospice care inpatient facility.
The facility will provide hospice general inpatient care to residents in Sussex and Warren counties, N.J. as well as Pike County, Penn. This will be the region’s first free standing in-patient hospice home and is expected to be completed in 2013.
USDA, through its Rural Development mission area, administers and manages more than 40 housing, business and community infrastructure and facility programs. These programs are designed to improve the economic stability of rural communities, businesses, residents, farmers and ranchers and improve the quality of life in rural America.
