Sparta storm branch pickup

Due to the extent of storm debris resulting from the winter storm that hit the area this past week, SpartaTownship is establishing a temporary drop off site for residents who have debris in their yards. Tree and brush fall off can be brought to the Township's Public Works Facility at 15 Prices Lane (off of Route 15N). The Township encourages residents to drop off their debris during the dates and times listed below.

The site will be open Friday, Dec. 6, Saturday, Dec. 7 and on Monday, Dec. 9 through Saturday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The site is for free and brush debris only and it is free for residents. Residency identification is required.

Township Public Works crews are working to clear all tree debris blocking roads as well as sidewalks and are continuing to pick up branches and limbs from public streets and right of ways. Clean up efforts will continue through the end of next week, weather permitting. The Township appreciates resident’s patience and cooperation while crews work to clear roadways from obstructions as lines are deactivated by JCP&L so that this work can be done safely.
