The Sussex County Police Chiefs’ Association will once again be holding its annual Bocce and Brew event at the Mohawk House from 4-10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. The bocce tournament and dinner social raises money for training, equipment, and professional development for law enforcement officers throughout the county. Past proceeds have gone towards cooperative medical and mutual aid instruction, and the purchase of a mobile firearms training (FATS) system. Tickets for this year’s event are $45/person, which includes beer, soda, food, and bocce. Tickets can be purchased by contacting any Sussex County police chief on the department’s non-emergency line. Any four-person teams wishing to play in the Bocce Tournament should arrive by 5 p.m., as registration must be completed by 5:15 p.m. for a 5:30 p.m. start. For more information or for a bocce team pre-registration form, call Andover Township Chief of Police Eric Danielson at (973) 383-5544.
