Oak Ridge Road potholes lead to a crash in West Milford in April 2016 that resulted in a jury this week awarding $2.65 million to a Newton couple after the husband received "crush" injuries from slamming into a vehicle on his way to work in Mahwah while trying to avoid the potholes. The court also ordered $756.180.80 paid to the man's insurance company. The couple alleged that the Oak Ridge Road potholes were an ongoing problem due to merely being filled, rather than fully repaired, and would then continually open up again. The accident happened just before 6 p.m. on April 14, 2016 on Oak Ridge Road near Wallace Cross Road in West Milford.
