On Oct. 25, family remembers reported Jordan Tenk, age 15, missing from his home in the Stockholm section of Hardyston Township. It was reported that Jordan may be in possession of a handgun and may have made statements indicating an intention to harm himself. There is no indication that he is a threat to the general public or family members. Jordan was entered as a missing person into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person and a search of the area was initiated. Hardyston Township Police Department personnel and K-9 partners from the NJ State Park Police and Sussex County Sheriff's Office responded along with the assistance of the NJSP Aviation Unit. Officers patrolled the area throughout the remainder of the night but Jordan has not been located.
The search is ongoing and at this time assistance has expanded to include that from the Vernon Township PD, Sussex county Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office. Joradan is described as a white male, 160 lbs., 5 feet 10 inches tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes with white laces.
