    FRANKLIN MAN ARRESTED FOR WARRANT

    On 8/29/2019 at approximately 3:15 p.m., P.O. Brian Porter stopped a white ford van for failing to signal and not having company name on a commercial vehicle. A records check on the driver and his passenger, 38 yr old Troy Cooper of Franklin, NJ, revealed a body warrant for Mr. Cooper out of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Cooper was placed under arrest and transported to Sparta Police HQ to be processed. A Sussex County Sheriff’s Officer responded to Sparta HQ and took custody of Mr. Cooper without incident.

    SPARTA MAN ARRESTED ON MORRIS COUNTY WARRANT

    On 8/30/2019 at approximately 9 a.m., P.O. Brian Porter was patrolling in the area of White Deer Plaza when he observed a white male, 35 yr old Jonathan Barkhorn of Sparta, NJ, sitting in a parked vehicle. Officer Porter recognized Mr. Barkhorn from prior involvement and was aware that Mr. Barkhorn had a body warrant, out of the Morris County Sheriff’s Department , for his arrest. Officer Porter made contact with Mr. Barkhorn, placed him under arrest and transported him to Sparta Police HQ to be processed. Mr. Barkhorn was searched and Officer Porter located a hypodermic needle in his possession. He was charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Needle and turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Department on their warrant.
