Ladies Professional Golf Association Foundation Scholarship

SPORTS. A recent Kittatinny Regional High School graduate has been awarded the LPGAF scholarship, which is awarded to collegiate level golfers.

Annika Johnson, a 2019 graduate of Kittatinny Regional High School (KRHS), received the Marilyn Smith Scholarship from the Ladies Professional Golf Association Foundation. The LPGA gives thirty $5,000 scholarships annually to graduating seniors who will continue to play golf at the collegiate level. Recipients are assessed on academics, community service, and recommendations.

Annika was captain of the KRHS varsity golf team for four years, and participated in both boys and girls golf events. For three years, she received the Most Valuable Player award. Academically, Annika was on high honor roll every year and on National Honor Society.

Annika will be majoring in English for Secondary Education at Fairfield University in Connecticut. She aspires to become a high school English teacher with a dream of writing plays/movies.
