A better way for towns to balance budgets than getting stoned

    To the Editor:

    After reading Michael Schnackenberg’s marijuana referendum article, it appears Schnackenberg believes a responsible way for towns to raise much needed revenue is to literally heed the words of Bob Dylan: “Everybody Must Get Stoned.” A truly mature and indisputable way for towns to balance their budgets while significantly lowering property taxes is to provide services at the county level like many states do.

    Well Mike, gotta go, Ma Yasgur needs a hand milking the cows. Max is feeling a bit under the weather. I will catch up with you this Saturday on the corner of Haight-Ashbury around noon and don’t forget to wear some flowers in your hair.
