Sparta’s Town Council has passed a flag ordinance,
Which will be a divisive nightmarish annoyance.
One United States flag for all our communities,
Or a plethora of banner apologies.
To choose the MAGA and/or the Black Lives Matter flag,
A decision most citizens would sandbag!
But now the Town Council must be inclusive,
For to deny either one or both is exclusive!
Our United States flag represents all the people,
With non-governmental flags having their own steeple.
There is this one flag for town, city, county and state,
Our national flag, which all should soulfully elate.
Flags are discriminatory in their nature,
The Stars and Stripes our uniting legislature.
