Follow the science

    To the Editor:

“Follow the science “ seems to be some rallying call to get the “shot” but in reality the “science” is not being followed.

I have been following your Viewpoints section every since Sue Speck first had her letter published which mentioned some concerns from a scientific point for this new Covid shot.

I don’t know Ms. Speck or if she has any scientific background, nor do I have any similar information about the others writing to not only dismiss her information but to engage in some very nasty shots at her and her source.

I do have a scientific background and have been following the “good” science of this Covid situation very carefully for the last year or so. So let’s review a few points. By way of background information, to get a toothpaste approved for sale in the US, the product is classified as an OTC drug and falls under the guidelines of the FDA. The data that the FDA needs to see from the manufacturer is a complete dossier of safety information to include all testing run and the results. In addition to that the FDA must be provided with two years of stability test data showing that the level of fluoride claimed on the package is still at the same level two years later. Now a two year stability test means you make a large batch of toothpaste, package it and let it sit in a warehouse for two years and monitor the fluoride levels.

Is anyone confident that this “shot” has past such scrutiny? When you consider that the pharmaceutical companies jumped at the opportunity to make billions and be indemnified. What a sweet deal! So the rush to get something out as quickly as possible was on.

Now onto the mRNA “shot.” If you get the “shot” but you still need to wear a mask, still can get the virus and still can transmit the virus, what exactly has been accomplished?

So all this protection everyone thinks they are getting is just not there, so where is the 95% protection numbers coming from ?

Statistics are great, they can be manipulated to give you the answer you want and as long as nobody looks at your data and how you calculated it your good to go and frankly drug companies do this all the time.

Ever see a drug commercial on TV, 15 seconds about the drug and 45 seconds of all the side effects. Where the long list of side effects from this “shot”?

So my bottom line is, there are many unanswered questions about this shot, from all the data I’ve seen and it has been substantial, the answers to those questions are not forthcoming and until I can get those questions answered I will choose not be a guinea pig. We all need to be in control of our own health decisions and respect the decisions of others.
