Our First Amendment freedom of speech and press,
Fox News “alt facts” and “fake news” has employed to excess.
Oh my, what has our democracy done?
To imperil our precious freedoms soulfully won.
So many contest our future destiny,
Who to believe, a challenge for you and me!
To struggle with those whom we disagree,
Don’t we realize the future of our humanity?
To demean those with whom we cannot relate,
But need to come to peace before it is too late.
Hope for a compassionate resolution,
In which both parties can seek restitution.
Fox News the life blood of many fellow citizens,
Our society needs come to soulful amends.
