New, unwrapped toys for 'Season of Hope Toy Drive'

| 15 Nov 2019 | 02:26

The Season of Hope Toy Drive is in full swing and we need your help to give more than 3,000 children a Happy Holiday this year.

Parents in need who live in the New Jersey counties of Sussex and Northern Warren are invited to select new, unwrapped toys from the Season of Hope Toy Shop, which is coordinated by Project Self-Sufficiency, with the help of its partners First Hope Bank, Gravity DesignWorks, iHeartMedia, Inc., Intercar Mercedes Benz, The New Jersey Herald, Off Shore Marine, Pass it Along, The Printing Center, Selective Insurance, Service Electric Broadband Cable, Shop Rite, Stocker Bus Company, the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, Sussex County Community College, Sussex Honda, and the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots.

While the holiday season can be a magical time of year, for many parents in need it can be stressful.

The Season of Hope Toy Shop is a special place which offers so much more than toys.

It reassures families that they are seen, that there is a place where they can come for help all year long, and most of all, that they and their children matter to the community.

Donating to the Season of Hope Toy Drive is easy.

Visit www.projectselfsufficiency.org to make a monetary donation, or to find a list of suggested items to be purchased for children in need.

There is a particular need for gifts designed for older children and teens.

Bring new, unwrapped items to Project Self-Sufficiency or one of the many drop-off sites located throughout the county.

This year, 37 local schools are participating in the Stuff the Stocking contest and select area fire departments are collecting toys at their annual holiday events.

In whatever way you choose to participate we thank you for helping to lift the spirits of a child this holiday season. We wish you a blessed holiday.
