On behalf of Skylands Performing Arts Center, I’d like to thank you for your continued support of The Newton Theatre and Newton Theatre Arts Academy, and helping us to bring quality Performances and Arts Education to the NJ Skylands region...We are launching our 2019 Year- End Campaign. Donations are an essential part of our budget- they enable us to provide the programs that educate, entertain and inspire all of our audiences regardless of ethnicity, age or income level. If you are passionate about "The Newt" and the arts, please consider making a special year-end donation so we may continue this vital mission. Here’s a sample of what we accomplished in 2019:-80+ performances including LeAnn Rimes, Jackie Evancho, Marty Stuart, and other greats;-40+ movies including Oscar winners ‘Green Book’, ‘Roma’, and ‘Free Solo’;-Over a dozen classes and workshops as well as four main-stage productions by The Arts Academy;-Artwork by professional artists and students on display free of charge at our Encore! Gallery;-Fund-raising and Tuition Scholarships for local causes and students in need.I’d like to share a story that underlines the importance of our programs:"

This past summer, Landon, a student with autism, enrolled in the Arts Academy’s Jungle Book Summer Camp. At first, Landon didn’t seem to be interested in participating with the others in class. Education Director Sara Bartlett wasn’t sure the camp was a good fit for Landon and expressed her concern to Landon’s mother, who was surprised because the camp was all that Landon talked about at home. This prompted Ms. Sara to ‘buddy up’ another student with Landon during class. On opening night, Landon sang, danced, and had the time of his life! He discovered a passion for the stage and a place where he belonged ".

Your support makes stories like these possible.

Thank you again for being part of the Newton Theatre family and helping to make our community a better place through the Arts. Skylands Performing Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Visit us at www.skypac.org.
